Based on the popular 1995 flick, Jumanji recreates the cursed board game with incredible accuracy. You can clearly tell the developers at NetEnt had lots of fun making it. Each special feature in the slot is based around the events that happen to the protagonists in the movie.
Jumanji’s RTP is 96.33%. And despite its low variance, the game is not shy about tossing in a bunch of special features! Sticky Vines, Monsoon Wilds, Monkey Mayhem and a Wild stampede will catch you off-guard if you’re not careful. And if four bonuses weren’t enough, each of these special features have a free spins version, too! Despite this, your jackpot will barely exceed 500x.
This is a NetEnt release, so it’s naturally in a league of its own when it comes to graphics. It has some of the most fluid animations we have ever seen in a slot, and we reviewed plenty! Jumanji is also incredibly fun to play. It has eight special features, and its low volatility makes it super easy to trigger them. The obvious downside is that you cannot win a decent jackpot, unless you get lucky and score multiple bonuses consecutively.
We know we mentioned low variance a lot, but it is that important. Wins are super frequent, and you will never be too far from another special feature activation. Because of this, all wins during normal gameplay have to be miniscule, otherwise the house loses.
Coins range between ₹1.00 up to ₹200.00 per spin. By changing their coin value and bet level, gamblers are able to adjust their total bet, as well. You can play this NetEnt release from ₹10 up to ₹2000 for each spin.
Available symbols include J, Q, K, A, a pelican, a crocodile, a rhino and a lion. A board game of Jumanji is the Scatter, while the word Wild is the Wild icon. The most valuable symbol, the lion, only rewards 140x for a five-of-a-kin win. Far from the jackpot, which only goes up to 504x your total stake.
There are four randomly activated bonuses that can trigger during normal gameplay. Their goal is to spice up gameplay, and give you a preview of the various free spins that appear later.
Sticky Vines: All winning icons are immobilised by vines, and are kept in place. All Wilds will also be made sticky, even if they weren’t part of the winning combination. The board is then spun again.
Monsoon Wilds: A monsoon blows a crocodile into the air, and then makes him land on top of the reels. When the crocodile lands, he creates a fully stacked Wild on that reel. Only one or two reels can be affected by this bonus.
Monkey Mayhem: After any spin during normal gameplay, there is a chance this special feature will trigger. All icons on the board are reshuffled by the monkeys, changing their positions around, which leads to a guaranteed win.
Wild Stampede: Rhinos stampede across the screen, transforming symbols beneath them into Wilds. Between four to nine Wilds can be created using this bonus.
Board Game: Three or more Scatters activates this special feature. Players are forced to play the Jumanji board game by rolling two six-sided dice. Three, four or five Scatters give you six, seven or eight dice rolls.
There is a chance you can unlock one of four different free spins during the board game. Their core mechanics are identical to the randomly triggered ones we discussed previously, so we will not go into detail here. You can also win additional dice throws or cash prizes.
Mystery Feature: If your token lands on this position, you have a chance of winning a prize! The prizes include free spins, cash, and two extra dice rolls. What you win depends on what you draw from the carousel after it stops.
Visually, Jumanji may be one of NetEnt’s best releases to this date. We usually have one or two things to complain about, but even we were left without anything to moan about. Great work, NetEnt, we’re proud of you.
Gameplay was equally thrilling to enjoy. If you count the Board Game and Mystery Feature as separate bonuses, you have a total of ten special features! No matter how fun, no game can persist without interesting prizes. And with its jackpot only reaching 504x your total bet, Jumanji fails to impress on that front.
